The White House declared our country under National Emergency due to the corona virus outbreak. Serving our patient’s health and well-being is at the core of our mission and our number one priority. We will continue monitoring the situation through the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and our city officials.
We would like to take a moment to address concerns and the steps we take every day to keep our patients safe and healthy.
Our practice follows the Center for Disease Control guidelines for dental office infection control. Our exam rooms, offices and permanent tools are disinfected before and after each patient visit. We cover some equipment with protective covers, which are replaced after each patient. Dental tools are cleaned and sterilized between patients. Disposable dental tools and needles are never reused.
We require all dental staff involved in patient care to use appropriate protective equipment such as gloves, masks, gowns and eyewear when needed. After each patient, disposable gloves and masks are thrown away. Before seeing the next patient, everyone on the treatment team washes their hands and put on a new pair of gloves.
Our office will remain open as we continue to monitor the situation and follow our daily sterilization protocols. We understand the situation is top of mind for everyone, as circumstances continue to change, we will continue to provide the safest dental care for our patients.
